Job Description

A Logistics Project Manager plans and executes strategic projects within a supply chain network. Unlike a daily operations supervisor, a PM manages initiatives with a clear start and end date—such as deploying a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), onboarding a major 3PL carrier, or opening a new distribution center.

Project Execution: Define project scope, manage budgets, track milestones, and ensure on-time delivery.
Process Optimization: Analyze workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, redesign warehouse layouts, and implement automation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate across internal departments (IT, procurement) and external partners (carriers, vendors, freight forwarders).
Risk & Compliance: Identify potential supply chain disruptions, build backup protocols, and ensure international trade/safety compliance.
Data Reporting: Track and report on key KPIs (e.g., cost-per-mile, order accuracy) to executive leadership.**

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Engineering.
Experience: 3–5+ years in logistics, warehousing, or freight operations, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional projects.
Tech Skills: Proficiency with ERP/WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle), project tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana), and data tools (Excel, Power BI).
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, crisis management, and communication skills to bridge the gap between floor staff and C-level executives.
