The Sales Manager shall maintain good working relationship with clients and shall attend to any operations matters by working closely with operation to ensure high level of service is provided to clients to meet the performance target , shall work closely with Senior Manager Freight & Operations and Chief Logistics Officer to grow the logistics business.
• To identify and prospect new business for freight forwarding and integrated logistics by proactively reaching out to prospective or existing clients, initiating sales calls to discuss logistics services • To continuously update sales lead and pipeline to secure business • To be responsible for account Supervision for existing accounts by maintaining good relationships with clients which is crucial for long-term success. • To be responsible for negotiating price and service terms with both customers and carriers and ensure to secure favourable deals
• Preferably a Bachelor Logistics, & Supply Chain Management or relevant qualification from a reputable University • Previous experience of minimum five to eight (5-8) years or more in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in a 3PL or manufacturing business environment. • Strong knowledge of logistics & supply chain management, 3PL business, transportation, warehouse operations, distribution, multi modal, shipping, and inventory management. • Proficiency in using Microsoft office such as Excel, Power Point and Ward • Goad understanding of costing of services and pricing to clients. •Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPis) and make data-driven decisions. • Able to prepare sales lead and other management report for management • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders • Ability to analyze complex logistics data, identify trends, and propose improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. • Ability to represent the company externally with key stakeholders
